Born and raised in small-town Georgia, Destiny grew up where Sunday brunch was practically a religion. Big family gatherings, grandmother's cast iron skillet, and flavors that meant home.
She moved to Tallahassee for college — Florida State, class of 2017 — and never left. After running two successful food trucks in her twenties, she pivoted during the pandemic and launched Brunch Bones in 2022.
Today, Brunch Bones is her love letter to Southern brunch: smoked brisket, fluffy biscuits, chai-spiced butter, and everything made from scratch. When she's not cooking, you can find her at Kishau's Brewing Co. on Saturdays, talking to regulars and maybe sneaking you an extra biscuit.
"Food should taste like somebody cares — because somebody does."
Every brisket is smoked for hours on our truck. No shortcuts, no pre-packaged meat.
Biscuits, gravy, waffle batter, hollandaise — all made fresh every morning.
Real cast iron, real ingredients, real people who give a damn about what they serve.
"Best brunch in Tallahassee, hands down. And I'm including actual restaurants. The chicken and waffles are legendary."
"Destiny is a genuinely good person who makes genuinely incredible food. Support her."
"We catered our office brunch (30 people) and everyone lost their minds. Will do again every quarter."
Find us at Kishau's every Saturday, or follow us on Instagram for our downtown locations during the week.
